Any city, either big or small, it has its own significance in several ways, the way it has come up from the historical times, the history of the town, the economy associated with it, the living style of the people, the climate of the city, the dressing styles. These all little things make up the city and give it an identity of its own. Being born and brought up in the city Roorkee, from one of the major state of India, Uttarakhand, and earlier Uttar Pradesh, I have very lovely and fond memories attached to this particular place and the people among whom I have grown up with. But as one advances in the journey of life, one has to come of that particular place at times for reason could be career prospects, family relocation, better job opportunities, or any other personal reason to move from a city to another. There is a lot that stays intact about the city that one grows up with and thus, here I would go around boasting and telling the world about the lovely city that I have grown up so used to that moving and travelling to other parts of India and world could not drive me away from the pleasures that this city has offered me. I feel proud and privileged to have been brought up into the city that is so peaceful, calm and serene.
Having said about the love that I have for this city called Roorkee, when we come to talk about design, drive, and connect, Roorkee stands high amidst the best cities across the country fulfilling all these criteria quite well. The city situated on the banks of Ganges canal, speaks volumes about the purity and serenity of this beautiful place. The place has lot of agricultural and nature farms, which offer natural beauty to the locals and tourists, alike. The place is very well connected to the several hill stations and tourist destinations in the state. This particular city serves as a host to far off tourists. It is one of the popular business centre of the state. A lot of industries are being set up which leads to better development. The roads connectivity is very well developed.
The designing patterns of the city both the old and new outlook. The city is on one of major smart city project lists of our Prime minister Modi, and thus the city holds the great future prospects of further developments in several sectors. The city is well known for the amazing research centres across the country and holds lot of significance in the education sector largely giving directions for further growth.
The driving through the city is quite a good experience. While coming to talk of the drive, there are many places in and around Roorkee, such as Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, for a very serene and peaceful getaway. For lot of folks who do not like to spend the weekends at the crowded places and malls, they can drive to nearest tourist spots by road and the roads are awesome with a beautiful green scenic views.
